COVID-19 Key Worker Childcare Information

From the 20th of March 2020, Primary and Secondary Schools and Local Authority Early Learning and Childhood Centres in Scotland are closed to control the spread of coronavirus.

Many of these facilties may remain open from Monday the 23rd of March to provide childcare for certain groups and activities such children identified as being vulnerable and the children of 'key workers' such as NHS and social care staff. The latest advice is that students in S4-S6 should not attend school to finish coursework.

For the latest information on the arrangements being put in place in your area and how to apply for the scheme, please consult your Local Authority through the links provided below. If you believe that you meet the criteria of a key worker please complete an online application or contact your child's school as soon as possible.

A school helpline has been established to support children and families in need of assistance. The number is 01224 523322 and will be available from 9am on Monday 23 March.
