Highest murder rate in the UK held by Scottish police division finds report

The Daily Express carry a story into the murder rate in Renfrewshire and Inverclyde and how this is the highest throughout the UK. This amounts to a murder rate of 4.3 per 100,000 inhabitants. South of the Border, homicide rates for Greater Manchester amounted to 2.8 per 100,000.

Commenting, Liam said: "These figures are extremely serious. Tackling them should be one of the highest priorities of the SNP.

"Instead, the dangerous complacency of the SNP at all levels speaks volumes.

"The SNP approach has focused only on pointing over the Border, while the murder rate in some parts of Scotland is even worse."
