Anti-social behaviour on the rise across the North East

Figures released by the Scottish Conservatives show that more than 155 incidents of anti-social behaviour are reported every day across Angus and Tayside. In addition, the figures demonstrate that there have been almost 1,000 anti-social behaviour incidents reported per day across Scotland.

Police Scotland needs funding totalling more than £200 million to modernise its ageing computer systems amid growing concerns over cyber-enabled crime, according to Deputy Chief Officer David Page.

Sexual and violent crime on the rise in Scotland

Figures from Police Scotland show that there was a 1.7% increase in total crime during the period 1 April, 2017 to 31 March 2018 compared to last year. The figure increases to 3.4% when statistics on weapon possession – which were not previously recorded separately – are included.
